Die Grenzsteintrophy ist eine Selbstversorgerfahrt entlang der ehemaligen Deutsch-Deutschen Grenze. Sie wurde erstmals 2009 ausgetragen. Die Strecke verläuft in einem Korridor 7,5 km “rechts und links” (also “westlich und östlich”) der ehemaligen innerdeutschen Grenze. Die freiwilligen Streckenscouts haben eine Route erarbeitet, die etwa 1.250 km lang ist und den Fahrern insgesamt knapp 17.500 hm abverlangt. Sie verbindet historische Bezüge mit Naturerlebnis, sportivem Bikepacking. Der Untergrund variiert zwischen Kolonnenweg, Forstwegen, Singletracks und (mit stetig sinkendem Anteil) Asphalt. Die GST 2013 startet am 17. Juni.
